Honeymoon: Vegas Excursion - Day 9, The Return

We began Saturday by waking up in time to check in for our flight back to Jax and a last trip out on the town. We rode the shuttle up to New York New York and grabbed a bus to In-N-Out burger for one last lunch in Heaven.

Then we jumped back over to the strip and bought tix at Tickets for Tonight for Mystere at Treasure Island, a Cirque du soleil production,

and made a reservation for dinner at Spago inside Caesar's Palace for dinner.

We had to go pick up our tix at the box office inside TI for the show and so piled on one of the downtown accordian-esque buses to get there. Once we got there the line was pretty long (this was still 4.5 hours before the show) and Kaley had to pee so I held our place in line.

Lo and behold, not even 30 seconds after she leaves Urban Meyer and his wife come strolling by the box office. I do a double take, see I'm last in line anyways, and walk after them. I say "Mr. Meyer!" which they do not hear and so I instead say "Coach!" to which they both spin around and I could tell they were expecting to see someone considerably taller than me. Mrs. Meyer immediately volunteers to take our photo with my phone while I'm explaining to them that my wife is going to die once she finds out since she just went to the bathroom and we just graduated from UF within the last year (Kaley was disappointed but later told me she wouldn't have been speaking to me if it had been Tim Tebow that I got a pic with without her, hahaha).

We jetted back to the resort to get ready for our last night in Vegas and after dinner and the show we explored Caesar's Palace, the Palazzo, and took $20 from the Belaggio for only $3 - replacing all the money we spent on slots all week plus some.

Now we have arrived at the last day of our journey and are currently sitting on the plane enjoying coke zero (diet coke in Kaley's case) and good books. It has been an amazing week and we are looking forward to beginning the rest of our lives together! Thank you again to God for the amazing week of wonderous sights and experiences He allowed us to have together, to our families for the love and support to get us there, and for all of you for reading this series of narratives! "Were you not entertained?!" (That's from the movie The Gladiator with Russel Crowe, Kaley ;-) )

Until next time...
